Compact fans come in various forms: axial compact fans, diagonal compact fans and centrifugal fans.
Axial compact fans often comes into play in control cabinets for IT infrastructure. These cabinets have limited space, but also require high cooling capacity. Air flows through the axial fans in parallel to the axis of rotation.
Diagonal compact fans are similar, but they achieve superior air performance with a significantly higher pressure increase and less noise. Diagonal compact fans are used for electronics with high availability requirements, for example in important data centers where an increasing demand for power for ICT applications due to the new 5G communication standard, autonomous driving or artificial intelligence makes them necessary.
Centrifugal fans are also available in a compact version. In the case of the centrifugal fan, the air flows through the fan at a specific angle. This enables them to generate more pressure than other designs. They operate extremely efficiently in confined spaces while consuming very little power. This is why they are often used in commercial household appliances such as extractor hoods, as well as in breathing equipment and smaller industrial vacuum lifters.
All three types of compact fans mentioned are particularly noted for their durability and efficiency.
