Making the world a greener place: Photo­voltaic system in France

Envi­ron­mental aware­ness is a matter of course for ebm-papst. As part of the “Every day is a GreenDay” campaign, our French branch inau­gu­rated a photo­voltaic system on the front of their office building. The 56 panels are capable of gener­ating up to 20,000 kilo­watt-hours of power per year — corre­sponding to 7 per cent of the total energy consump­tion of the Obernai facility. ebm-papst France are hoping that the success of this system will also inspire other compa­nies in the region to make use of the sun as a means of ecolog­ical power gener­a­tion.
