The AxiTop diffuser has been named Refrigeration Product of the Year 2014. The decision was made by the jury of the British RAC Cooling Industry Awards, who last year awarded the AxiTop the Highly Commended award. This time, the jury was convinced by the product’s excellent results in the field and awarded the prize to ebm-papst.

The diffuser’s main benefits are improved efficiency and lower fan noise. The AxiTop showed its potential in a test conducted on behalf of a major British supermarket by the companies Space Engineering Services and Coolers and Condensors. The retrofit allowed the existing EC evaporator fans to achieve energy savings of up to 51 percent, depending on the ambient conditions.
The RAC Cooling Industry Award marked its tenth anniversary in 2014 and honours outstanding products in various categories in the cooling and refrigeration industry. In 2010, ebm-papst received two awards, with the jury voting the iQ motor Product of the Year and Geoff Lockwood, Technical Director at ebm-papst, accepting the award for “Environmental Pioneer of the Year”.
