The ideal solu\u00adtion is to perform opti\u00admi\u00adsa\u00adtion on the basis of the expected load and select the char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adistic curve with the lowest annual energy costs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So the key is to have a tech\u00adnology which provides more or less infi\u00adnitely vari\u00adable adap\u00adta\u00adtion of the air flow to the actual require\u00adment. This ability is already inte\u00adgrated into the RadiPac for oper\u00ada\u00adtion in air handling units. Its capacity for adjust\u00adment over a broad speed range ensures excel\u00adlent effi\u00adciency and helps to cut oper\u00adating costs. This is illus\u00adtrated by comparing an AC fan with frequency converter to a Green\u00adTech EC fan (Fig. 2).<\/p>\n<p>For the load profile shown (Fig. 3a, b, c), the effi\u00adciency of the EC fan is around 28 % higher. In addi\u00adtion to reduced power consump\u00adtion, other bene\u00adfits include far lower assembly and instal\u00adla\u00adtion costs, less weight and a space-saving design.<\/p>\n<h2>Correct values in partial load oper\u00ada\u00adtion<\/h2>\n<p>Partial load is thus of consid\u00ader\u00adable impor\u00adtance when plan\u00adning and oper\u00adating air handling systems with a view to keeping running costs to a minimum. Absolute plan\u00adning reli\u00ada\u00adbility is thus guar\u00adan\u00adteed. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Authentic oper\u00adating condi\u00adtions<\/h2>\n<p>Cate\u00adgory A measure\u00adments with free inlet and free outlet are defin\u00adi\u00adtive for the data given in the product cata\u00adlogues and Product Selector and permit direct fan compar\u00adisons (Fig. 4a). The fans in an air handling unit operate in more or less confined spaces. The real\u00adistic consump\u00adtion and perfor\u00admance figures supplied by ebm-papst help to ensure that the fore\u00adcast perfor\u00admance values are actu\u00adally achieved in prac\u00adtice (Fig. 4c).
