They are hard at work exper\u00adi\u00admenting, inventing and tinkering with their own projects in a playful way. Every year, over 10,000 chil\u00addren and young people from the fourth grade onwards receive their first taste of research thanks to Jugend forscht. They present their results nation\u00adwide in over 120 compe\u00adti\u00adtions to a jury of teachers, scien\u00adtists and trainers. This year, 137 young people are presenting their creative ideas at the Heil\u00adbronn-Franken regional compe\u00adti\u00adtion at K\u00fcnzelsau Univer\u00adsity of Applied Sciences. As the orga\u00adnizer, ebm-papst is providing a stage for the young talents of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Promoting young talent out of convic\u00adtion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For 27 years, ebm-papst has been orga\u00adnizing and financing the regional compe\u00adti\u00adtion as a sponsor company, even in chal\u00adlenging times. At the state level, the company also donates prizes for the best training project. Timo Pfl\u00fcger, sponsor repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive for Jugend forscht at ebm-papst, says: \u201cWe believe in the project and in young people who want to try their hand at tech\u00adnology, research and science. Our greatest resource in Germany is inven\u00adtive talent. As an inno\u00adva\u00adtion-driven company, we are happy to invest in awak\u00adening this talent in the next gener\u00ada\u00adtion.\u201d It\u2019s worth it because the compe\u00adti\u00adtion serves as an intro\u00adduc\u00adtion to scien\u00adtific work for many young people and chal\u00adlenges their commu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtion skills when presenting their projects, an impor\u00adtant foun\u00adda\u00adtion for training or studying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jugend Forscht<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Heil\u00adbronn-Franken regional compe\u00adti\u00adtion takes place every spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opening doors for young talent<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The trainees at ebm-papst also present their own research projects, this year one from each of the two company loca\u00adtions in St.Georgen and Mulfingen. In addi\u00adtion to the two-day compe\u00adti\u00adtion, ebm-papst also orga\u00adnizes a supporting program of various work\u00adshops, such as basket\u00adball with the Crail\u00adsheim Merlins or a trip to the tram\u00adpo\u00adline hall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Timo Pfl\u00fcger says: \u201cWe are very proud to be able to offer young people who are inter\u00adested in tech\u00adnology and science new expe\u00adri\u00adences and a great adven\u00adture with this project.\u201d But that\u2019s not all: \u201cWe often welcome new trainees or students who first got to know us through partic\u00adi\u00adpating or observing at Jugend forscht\u2014and that\u2019s where we got to know them,\u201d says Pfl\u00fcger proudly.

The partic\u00adi\u00adpants will present their projects to a jury. The winners will go on to the state compe\u00adti\u00adtion.
