With every\u00adthing from fashion to tech\u00adnology and food, the shop\u00adping center has been an impor\u00adtant retail hub in northern Berlin for almost 30 years. Many of them were still equipped with V-belt-driven, double-flow fans\u2014a tech\u00adnology that lags signif\u00adi\u00adcantly behind today\u2019s stan\u00addards in terms of effi\u00adciency and main\u00adte\u00adnance. In such systems, a V-belt trans\u00admits the motor power to the fan wheel via pulleys. To achieve optimal reli\u00ada\u00adbility, Daume relied on FanGrid: Instead of one large fan, several EC fans now operate in parallel\u2014in the Rathaus-Center, usually four to eight per FanGrid, depending on the require\u00adments of the system. This arrange\u00adment ensures signif\u00adi\u00adcantly higher oper\u00ada\u00adtional reli\u00ada\u00adbility. If one fan fails, the others auto\u00admat\u00adi\u00adcally increase their speed so that the air flow remains constant. The RadiPac fans provide oper\u00adating data such as power consump\u00adtion via the stan\u00addard Modbus inter\u00adface. The Intel\u00adli\u00adGate gateway from ebm-papst records this data as a central data inter\u00adface and processes it further. Daume also inte\u00adgrated air quality sensors for temper\u00ada\u00adture, CO<sub>2<\/sub> and VOC content from S+S Regel\u00adtechnik.
