Why did ebm-papst develop the RadiPac M?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Plastic impellers are often not permitted in the USA and China for fire protec\u00adtion reasons, so \u00adthere\u2019s a very high demand for fans with metal impellers in these markets. What\u2019s more, our customers often need very large sizes that cannot be achieved with plastic. That\u2019s how the idea for the RadiPac M came about\u200a\u2013 \u200athe metal version of the RadiPac product range in the third \u00adgener\u00ada\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What can customers expect from the product?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In addi\u00adtion to the large sizes\u200a \u2013 up to 800 millime\u00adters\u200a \u2013\u200a\u200aand new motors up to size 280, the RadiPac M also achieves power outputs of up to 24 kilo\u00adwatts and gener\u00adates pres\u00adsures of up to 2,200 pascals. For decades, 12 kilo\u00adwatts was our most powerful elec\u00adtronics rating, but we can now go as high as twice that amount. The new impeller also has a higher displace\u00adment, meaning the same size can trans\u00adport more air. Plus, when the RadiPac M is installed, there is more space between the housing wall and the fan. This reduces flow losses and makes the fan even more effi\u00adcient, space-saving and quieter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was there anything special about the produc\u00adtion process?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Yes, defi\u00adnitely. The RadiPac M is an inter\u00adna\u00adtional project that was local\u00adized in three regions simul\u00adta\u00adne\u00adously for the first time\u200a \u2013 that\u2019s some\u00adthing new for ebm-papst. The project team is also inter\u00adna\u00adtional. Unlike in the past, when we often launched new prod\u00aducts one after the other in the indi\u00advidual regions, we aimed for simul\u00adta\u00adneous local\u00adiza\u00adtion right from the outset here. For example, based on regional market require\u00adments, we selected the sizes that were produced locally. The aim was to accel\u00aderate the market launches and reduce logis\u00adtics and trans\u00adporta\u00adtion costs by manu\u00adfac\u00adturing the product where it is needed. This is, of course, a complex approach to take and it brings with it new chal\u00adlenges, but we will success\u00adfully complete this step. It will enable us to supply our customers with their prod\u00aducts even faster in the future. From now on, the new impellers can be used glob\u00adally as stan\u00addard prod\u00aducts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a real cross-selling product because it covers so many different appli\u00adca\u00adtions \u200a\u2013 whether open-plan offices, school build\u00adings, hospi\u00adtals or data centers, it can be used wher\u00adever air handling units provide venti\u00adlation and air condi\u00adtioning. For example, it can cope with high pres\u00adsures in clean\u00adrooms, it can cool server rooms and it can be placed on the roof of super\u00admar\u00adkets.
