At ebm-papst, we make sure that we produce as little pack\u00adaging waste as possible. Reusable pack\u00adaging made of paper or plastic has proven to be partic\u00adu\u00adlarly effec\u00adtive. For example, we use reusable plastic folding boxes to ship goods to our customers and order mate\u00adrials from our suppliers. This enables us to save around 900 metric tons of corru\u00adgated card\u00adboard every year. <\/a>But the reusable box also offers other bene\u00adfits: \u201cIt is completely recy\u00adclable, highly sturdy, and can be used up to 60 times,\u201d says Ulf-Peter Klotz, Group Manager Pack\u00adaging Manage\u00adment & Quality Assur\u00adance at ebm-papst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith the reusable box, we can trans\u00adport almost any product within a certain size and weight range,\u201d Klotz explains. Due to its versa\u00adtility, a similar plastic box is also used at our plant in Xi\u2019an, China. In 2023, we were able to save a total of 89 metric tons of pack\u00adaging mate\u00adrial at the site by using 1,800 folding boxes \u2013 41 tons when ship\u00adping to customers and 48 tons in exchange with suppliers. This means that the boxes are helping us to protect the envi\u00adron\u00adment and conserve resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
