What is Klimaschutz-Unternehmen?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re an asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion of German compa\u00adnies dedi\u00adcated to protecting the envi\u00adron\u00adment, founded in 2009 by the Part\u00adner\u00adship for Climate Protec\u00adtion, Energy Effi\u00adciency and Inno\u00adva\u00adtion. As a joint project of the Federal Ministry for the Envi\u00adron\u00adment (BMUV), the Federal Ministry for the Economy (BMWi), and the Asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion of German Cham\u00adbers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), we were funded through the National Climate Protec\u00adtion Initia\u00adtive. The aim of the project was to bring together compa\u00adnies whose outstanding climate protec\u00adtion achieve\u00adments make them role models for the economy as a whole. ebm-papst was one of the initiative\u2019s four founding members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2013, Klimaschutz-Unternehmen became a regis\u00adtered trade asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion with a cross-industry struc\u00adture. The members, various compa\u00adnies of different sizes, are expected to take our combined knowl\u00adedge of climate protec\u00adtion and energy effi\u00adciency measures and spread it to the wider busi\u00adness commu\u00adnity. With 69 members right now, we see ourselves as a pioneering initia\u00adtive, and develop tools and measures to help with energy effi\u00adciency in busi\u00adness. Our goal is to initiate concrete climate protec\u00adtion projects that can also be imple\u00admented by other compa\u00adnies. One of the prime exam\u00adples is our \u201cEnergy Scouts\u201d project, which has achieved enor\u00admous reach thanks to the commit\u00adment of our trainees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
