More than 900 employees now work at the site, which manu\u00adfac\u00adtured over six million indi\u00advidual prod\u00aducts from the ebm-papst range in 2023. In addi\u00adtion to this, the 33,000-square-meter subsidiary offers its customers a compre\u00adhen\u00adsive range of services, from logis\u00adtics and trans\u00adport options to a broad range of after\u00admarket and warranty services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using solar energy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The plant in Xi\u2019an stands not only for high-quality services and prod\u00aducts, but also for envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtally conscious energy manage\u00adment. \u201cFrom the very begin\u00adning, this plant was designed with the aim of making produc\u00adtion as climate and envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtally friendly as possible. We have consis\u00adtently pursued and opti\u00admized this focus in recent years,\u201d says Alice Sheng, Quality Project Manager at ebm-papst China, who is also in charge of sustain\u00adability at the site. The ongoing improve\u00adments are paying off, partic\u00adu\u00adlarly in terms of energy effi\u00adciency. The photo\u00advoltaic system that was put into oper\u00ada\u00adtion in January 2024 is expected to produce 1.45 million kWh per year, which will cover more than 25 percent of the plant\u2019s own energy require\u00adments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThanks to solar power systems and geot\u00adhermal tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies, we can already cover up to a quarter of our internal require\u00adments with renew\u00adable ener\u00adgies,\u201d reports Alice Sheng. With the expan\u00adsion of the photo\u00advoltaics to an output volume of 1.3 MWp (megawatts peak) in the 2024\/25 finan\u00adcial year, the extent to which the plant can cover its own energy require\u00adments will only continue to increase. \u201cEven though we will prob\u00adably need more energy in the future due to expan\u00adsions in produc\u00adtion, by that point, we will be able to work even more effi\u00adciently, as we will be using renew\u00adable ener\u00adgies,\u201d says Alice Sheng, offering a posi\u00adtive outlook for the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
