How enjoy\u00adable is it being respon\u00adsible for sales, given the current state of the economy and global crises? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I always enjoy being respon\u00adsible for sales because I like working with our customers. The state of the economy has no effect on that. Of course, growth is always welcome. On the other hand, we are able to better show\u00adcase our knowl\u00adedge, skills and exper\u00adtise when the economy isn\u2019t doing so well.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where do you see the biggest chal\u00adlenges at present?   <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In terms of regions, Europe currently presents the biggest chal\u00adlenges. When it comes to appli\u00adca\u00adtions, two areas in partic\u00adular are impacted: resi\u00adden\u00adtial venti\u00adlation and heat pumps. One reason for this is that resi\u00adden\u00adtial construc\u00adtion in Germany has decreased by 40 percent. Another reason is that heat pump manu\u00adfac\u00adturers have seen their sales halved, espe\u00adcially due to the uncer\u00adtainty caused by Germany\u2019s Building Energy Act. Added to this is industry\u2019s general invest\u00adment reti\u00adcence. <\/p>\n\n\n

How are you dealing with this?   <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are trying to compen\u00adsate with other appli\u00adca\u00adtions and by working with customers in these areas to develop inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive solu\u00adtions. One example is a new central elec\u00adtronics system for heat pumps that provides addi\u00adtional bene\u00adfits for customers and also helps improve effi\u00adciency. Our goal is to tran\u00adsi\u00adtion from being only a supplier of compo\u00adnents to a system supplier, thus gener\u00adating addi\u00adtional value for our customers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Could you be more specific about this change?  <\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We not only supply hard\u00adware but have also added soft\u00adware to our port\u00adfolio. By analyzing data with arti\u00adfi\u00adcial intel\u00adli\u00adgence, we make it possible to improve the use of fans, thus increasing the energy effi\u00adciency and reli\u00ada\u00adbility of the entire system. On the same basis, we also provide digital services to support condi\u00adtion moni\u00adtoring and predic\u00adtive main\u00adte\u00adnance.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Which markets do you think have the greatest poten\u00adtial?   <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Asia-Pacific and Amer\u00adicas regions. By Asia, I don\u2019t just mean China but also South\u00adeast Asia, and India in partic\u00adular. This is home to many of the big players in the data center and commer\u00adcial air tech\u00adnology sectors. When it comes to clean\u00adrooms, we are the leading supplier to the semi\u00adcon\u00adductor industry world\u00adwide. The same is true for the area of renew\u00adables, where we supply fans of all sizes\u200a\u2013\u200afrom compact to large\u200a\u2013\u200afor the charging infra\u00adstruc\u00adture and the produc\u00adtion, distri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion and storage of energy, for example. There is also great poten\u00adtial in the retro\u00adfitting sector. In Germany, for example, 70 percent of commer\u00adcial air tech\u00adnology systems are more than 20 years old. Through a retrofit with our plug-and-play solu\u00adtions, we can help save a signif\u00adi\u00adcant amount of energy.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the impact of your local-for-local strategy?  <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to our global struc\u00adture, we can supply our customers in all three regions with the prod\u00aducts they need.
