Employees today are looking for chal\u00adlenging work with good colleagues and a clear goal in mind, according to Irina Wind\u00adsheimer, Specialist Global Employer Branding & Human Resources. \u201cThey long for mean\u00adingful tasks and want to play their part in creating a better future. At ebm-papst, we offer them this oppor\u00adtu\u00adnity.\u201d That is why we have used our purpose, \u201cEngi\u00adneering a better life,\u201d to come up with three core messages: \u201cBetter working,\u201d \u201cBetter teams,\u201d and \u201cBetter future.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these promises, we want to inspire the right up-and-coming talent and special\u00adists and convince them to work for us. This is why, when it comes to devel\u00adoping our posi\u00adtioning as an employer, we place a lot of value on the expe\u00adri\u00adences and needs of our existing employees. We even let them speak for them\u00adselves as part of our recruit\u00adment measures, telling job candi\u00addates about their work at ebm-papst. As Irina Wind\u00adsheimer knows, \u201cNothing is more authentic and mean\u00adingful than real employees talking about their employer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enabling and devel\u00adoping, right from the word \u201cgo\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To ensure a first-class future, it is impor\u00adtant to support and chal\u00adlenge young talent from the outset. During the \u201cEnergy Scouts\u201d initia\u00adtive founded by Markus Mettler and Hauke Hannig, trainees are taught to iden\u00adtify energy-saving poten\u00adtial in the company and initiate sustain\u00adable measures to utilize it. \u201cSince 2010, more than 1,000 compa\u00adnies in Germany have trained scouts using our model,\u201d he reports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea is even gaining a foothold inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adally, with more and more cham\u00adbers of commerce in both Europe and the USA now offering the Energy Scouts program. In another of our initia\u00adtives, \u201cFuture Heroes,\u201d ebm-papst trainees and students are tasked with imple\u00admenting selected everyday work projects. Exam\u00adples of this include our appear\u00adances at the HANNOVER MESSE 2023 and the Climate Protec\u00adtion Day 2024. The Future Heroes planned and orga\u00adnized the measures for these events all by them\u00adselves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also regu\u00adlarly put students in Heil\u00adbronn to the test: At the Campus Founders\u2019 \u201cCorpo\u00adrate Campus Chal\u00adlenge,\u201d the teams address some of the prac\u00adtical issues facing compa\u00adnies and work together to develop solu\u00adtions. Partic\u00adi\u00adpa\u00adtion in this event has proven a valu\u00adable expe\u00adri\u00adence for everyone involved and provides an oppor\u00adtu\u00adnity for us to discover the special\u00adists of tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
