It\u2019s not just a house; it\u2019s a mission state\u00adment that reflects our values and the needs of our employees. We devel\u00adoped the concept by conducting count\u00adless inter\u00adviews in all our regions around the world and across every func\u00adtion and hier\u00adar\u00adchical level within our Group. The results of a global employee survey conducted in 2022, which had an extremely high partic\u00adi\u00adpa\u00adtion rate, were used to further refine and finalize the design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe surveys revealed a lot of things. For example, they showed that \u2018enthu\u00adsiasm\u2019 is a very impor\u00adtant value for our employees, and that they also feel it is part of the working expe\u00adri\u00adence and lifestyle at all our sites around the world,\u201d Dr. Fleis\u00adcher recalls. \u201cThat\u2019s why we have chosen to re-empha\u00adsize this point in our values.\u201d Together with the values of effi\u00adciency and humanity, it forms the stable foun\u00adda\u00adtion on which our house is built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the foun\u00adda\u00adtion of our excel\u00adlence, which consists of three building blocks: data analysis and analytics, poli\u00adcies and processes, and integrity and compli\u00adance. This provides a high stan\u00addard for our work, which is always effi\u00adcient, first-class and \u2013 of course \u2013 compliant with the law. Some deal with work-life balance, an impor\u00adtant priority for the modern employee. This is why we offer child\u00adcare support by coop\u00ader\u00adating with local kinder\u00adgartens, for example. These valu\u00adable part\u00adner\u00adships offer parents the secu\u00adrity of safe child\u00adcare when (re)starting work at ebm-papst. It is also impor\u00adtant to us that our employees can take a flex\u00adible approach to orga\u00adnizing their working hours. This includes part-time and flex\u00adtime models, as well as mobile work options. \u201cWhat is easy to imple\u00adment in terms of admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion, for example, poses chal\u00adlenges when it comes to produc\u00adtion,\u201d Dr. Fleis\u00adcher says. \u201cThat is why we are devel\u00adoping a flex\u00adible working time and shift model for produc\u00adtion, which \u2013 if neces\u00adsary and desired \u2013 can be adapted to suit personal wishes and needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are aware that the propor\u00adtion of women at our company can be increased in several areas. This applies to specific depart\u00adments such as Logis\u00adtics, but also to manage\u00adment posi\u00adtions in general. With this in mind, we have launched several initia\u00adtives to promote women in our work\u00adplace. In Produc\u00adtion at our Land\u00adshut site, for example, there are special inclu\u00adsive work\u00adsta\u00adtions. But ebm-papst\u2019s strong commit\u00adment to inclu\u00adsion and accep\u00adtance doesn\u2019t stop at the German border, as Sarah Worden, Senior Director Human Resources Amer\u00adicas, reports: \u201cAt our Amer\u00adican branches, our employees regu\u00adlarly advo\u00adcate for greater aware\u00adness of illnesses and disabil\u00adi\u00adties.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Campaign days such as World Down Syndrome Day provide an oppor\u00adtu\u00adnity for such work. On this day, employees are encour\u00adaged to wear two different, colorful socks. This is our way of cele\u00adbrating the unique\u00adness of every single person, regard\u00adless of the differ\u00adences between us. In 2023, for example, we helped to fund the purchase of a wheel\u00adchair-acces\u00adsible seesaw for the play\u00adground at Andreas-Fr\u00f6h\u00adlich-Schule in Krautheim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Help in times of need<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group article-sidebox\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We are changing the world. Since our local site in Cerknica was spared from the disaster, the almost 600 staff there were able to devote all their energy to supporting those affected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employees who actively helped out were granted two days of special leave to do so. These exam\u00adples show that humanity is prob\u00adably the strongest value in our corpo\u00adrate culture,\u201d says Dr. Sonja Fleis\u00adcher.
