The tool is now avail\u00adable as a web-based solu\u00adtion and can be oper\u00adated conve\u00adniently and intu\u00aditively in a browser, so the right fan can be found even faster. No instal\u00adla\u00adtion is required for this, no updates are neces\u00adsary, and users can be sure that they are always working with the latest data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To narrow down the suit\u00adable fans in a first step, there are indi\u00advidual product filters (Figs. 1 and 2) where up to five appli\u00adca\u00adtion-specific oper\u00adating points and the required oper\u00adating times can be entered for a fan, for example. Addi\u00adtional filters are avail\u00adable for voltage, frequency, mains type, and the desired motor tech\u00adnology (AC or EC). Spec\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtions regarding instal\u00adla\u00adtion space, size, etc. narrow down the suit\u00adable results even further. For noise-sensi\u00adtive appli\u00adca\u00adtions, the maximum permis\u00adsible noise level can also be entered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The right product with indi\u00advidual filters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The RadiPac centrifugal fans, for example, are avail\u00adable in different versions (Fig. 3). Whether users opt for the new RadiPac C Perform fans with air guide module or the proven vari\u00adants with open support bracket depends mainly on the type and dura\u00adtion of use, required air perfor\u00admance, desired speed range, pres\u00adsure ratios of the appli\u00adca\u00adtion, and permis\u00adsible noise emis\u00adsion levels. Users can also specify the maximum number of fans required and include redun\u00addancy require\u00adments. (Graphic | ebm-papst)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Two impor\u00adtant points must be taken into account here: Firstly, the reserve of the remaining fans must be large enough to compen\u00adsate for the missing volume of air of the fans that are not in oper\u00ada\u00adtion. Secondly, there must also be a way of compen\u00adsating for the volume of air flowing back through the idle fans. A distinc\u00adtion is made here between the vari\u00adants with and without back\u00adflow. This is also shown by FanScout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Compare details of up to 5 fans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the filters have been entered, FanScout calcu\u00adlates which solu\u00adtions are suit\u00adable. However, it not only suggests the most suit\u00adable fans, but also how many fans are needed to meet the appli\u00adca\u00adtion require\u00adments in the most energy-effi\u00adcient way. All rele\u00advant product data is displayed and can be compared at a glance, including oper\u00adating point data, dimen\u00adsions and specific measure\u00adment data. Once the pres\u00ade\u00adlec\u00adtion has been made, the next step is to get down to the details. All product char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adis\u00adtics of the suggested fans can now be compared with each other; the best values are high\u00adlighted in the selec\u00adtion and can be down\u00adloaded if required. This involves multi\u00adplying the power consump\u00adtion of the fans at each oper\u00adating point by the oper\u00adating time and elec\u00adtricity costs, and adding up the total. The result repre\u00adsents the pure oper\u00adating costs of the system over a spec\u00adi\u00adfied period. Competitor fans can also be used for compar\u00adison. If the procure\u00adment, instal\u00adla\u00adtion and indi\u00advidual service costs are also entered, the total costs of the fan or FanGrid are presented over time. This provides users with a robust cost break\u00addown at this early plan\u00adning stage as a reli\u00adable basis for invest\u00adment deci\u00adsions.&nbsp;In addi\u00adtion, all data sheets and oper\u00adating instruc\u00adtions are avail\u00adable in several languages in the down\u00adload area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those looking for a partic\u00adu\u00adlarly resource-effi\u00adcient fan will also find what they are looking for, as the Sustain\u00adability Report (Fig. 7) makes compar\u00adisons easy. CO<sub>2<\/sub> emis\u00adsions are deter\u00admined using the auto\u00admat\u00adi\u00adcally calcu\u00adlated energy consump\u00adtion of the fans and presented in a clear table. The result describes the CO<sub>2<\/sub> emis\u00adsions of a product over its entire service life and per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Share results and help shape the future<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The results of the selec\u00adtion tool can be shared with others at any time. This can be done directly via the Share button in order to use the results as a basis for discus\u00adsion in a meeting, for example. The selec\u00adtion can also be saved in a clear and print\u00adable format via PDF export and shared with colleagues.
