IP protec\u00adtion class water test bay"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the testing center in Hollen\u00adbach, fans are pushed to their limits and beyond with real-life envi\u00adron\u00admental influ\u00adences. New prod\u00aducts, sizes or compo\u00adnents pass through the test stations in a total of six test fields over an area of approx\u00adi\u00admately 2,500 square meters. In this series, we take a closer look at each of these test bays. The fourth focuses on humidity and mois\u00adture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the IP protec\u00adtion class test bay, water tests are carried out according to the IP degrees of protec\u00adtion, i.e. stan\u00addard\u00adized tests. The IP degree of protec\u00adtion describes to what degree devices are protected against the ingress of humidity and mois\u00adture, for example. Depending on the IP degree of protec\u00adtion, water \u2013 with a spec\u00adi\u00adfied quan\u00adtity, pres\u00adsure and at certain angles \u2013 is directed at the test spec\u00adimen using spray arches with nozzles or a water jet nozzle. In real life scenarios, fans expe\u00adri\u00adence these condi\u00adtions when there is rain, for example, if they are installed on a roof and exposed to the weather, or by using them in a washing system. This range of different mois\u00adture expo\u00adsures is what is found in the IP protec\u00adtion class water test bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IP degree of protec\u00adtion tests
