Special air-conducting modules now increase the effi\u00adciency by up to 5 percent, while the proven support brackets have been retained (Fig. 1). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that the mounting dimen\u00adsions and mounting hole patterns remain iden\u00adtical, so prac\u00adti\u00adcally no design changes are neces\u00adsary in the appli\u00adca\u00adtion to benefit from the higher effi\u00adciency levels and lower current consump\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading no-clear\">Air guide modules increase the effi\u00adciency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Air guide modules reduce outlet losses in the RadiPac C Perform fans. (Graphic | ebm-papst)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Here, the greatest loss factor is the dynamic power compo\u00adnent (Pud) of the air perfor\u00admance, which is also referred to as the outlet loss. It is made up of the product of the air flow and the dynamic pres\u00adsure. To mini\u00admize these losses, ebm-papst has devel\u00adoped a housing for the RadiPac, consisting of four segments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The module segments are made of galva\u00adnized sheet steel and have an aero\u00addy\u00adnamic shape. This special shape slows down the flow speed, which reduces the dynamic pres\u00adsure compo\u00adnent and increases the usable static pres\u00adsure compo\u00adnent (Fig. 2). In addi\u00adtion, the new flange plate was turned 15 degrees and provided with recesses at the flow outlet, which also helps to reduce exit losses. In both RadiPac designs, highly effi\u00adcient Green\u00adTech EC motors are used as a drive and the shape of the five-blade impeller meets the latest aero\u00addy\u00adnamic criteria. The effi\u00adciency of the external rotor motors fulfills the require\u00adments for effi\u00adciency class IE5 set in IEC\/TS 60034-30-2. For system effi\u00adciency, the drive system, consisting of motor and inte\u00adgrated power elec\u00adtronics, is indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adally adapted on each fan, and is opti\u00admized for the rele\u00advant oper\u00adating range. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>FanScout deter\u00admines the most econom\u00adical fan solu\u00adtion based on appli\u00adca\u00adtion-specific oper\u00adating points and the expected oper\u00adating times.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Which RadiPac variant ulti\u00admately pays off more for the user depends primarily on the type of use and dura\u00adtion, the required air perfor\u00admance, the desired speed range and the pres\u00adsure ratio of the appli\u00adca\u00adtion. The amount of instal\u00adla\u00adtion space avail\u00adable, maximum number of fans required and redun\u00addancy require\u00adments can also be taken into account. To make the eval\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion of the various options even more useful to the user, FanScout also has a func\u00adtion that iden\u00adti\u00adfies the life cycle costs of the combi\u00adna\u00adtion under consid\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This involves multi\u00adplying the power consump\u00adtion of the fans at each oper\u00adating point by the oper\u00adating time and elec\u00adtricity costs, and adding up the total. The result repre\u00adsents the pure oper\u00adating costs of the instal\u00adla\u00adtion over a spec\u00adi\u00adfied period. After you enter the costs for the purchase, instal\u00adla\u00adtion and service, the overall costs over time are displayed. Depending on the instal\u00adla\u00adtion situ\u00ada\u00adtion, reso\u00adnance can occur in unpre\u00addictable speed ranges. If the fan is often oper\u00adated in such crit\u00adical ranges, the drive motor\u2019s bearing system may be damaged, leading to prema\u00adture fan failure. If exces\u00adsive vibra\u00adtion speeds are detected in certain areas, the control soft\u00adware adjusts itself after acti\u00adva\u00adtion by the customer so that these speed ranges are \u201cpassed over\u201d in the future. This means that the ranges are passed through, but contin\u00aduous oper\u00ada\u00adtion in them is avoided (Fig. 5). Oper\u00ada\u00adtors can manu\u00adally edit the soft\u00adware settings at any time, meaning that they always have full control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The energy-saving RadiPac C Perform fans with air guide modules in support bracket are currently avail\u00adable in seven sizes (BG 280 to BG 630) and with outputs of up to 8 kW.
