These appli\u00adca\u00adtions often still use AC motors in combi\u00adna\u00adtion with vari\u00adable frequency drives, trans\u00admis\u00adsions, or belt drives. The new, robust DV280 delivers a high torque of 180 Newton meters at an elec\u00adtrical input capacity of up to 20 kW shaft power, making it suit\u00adable for universal use on large fans.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"clear: none;\">Does such a large unit not also use a lot of power?<\/h3>\n<p>No, quite the oppo\u00adsite! Thanks to the state-of-the-art EC motor, the energy consump\u00adtion and oper\u00adating costs can be signif\u00adi\u00adcantly reduced with the DV280. That aspect is becoming increas\u00adingly impor\u00adtant for oper\u00ada\u00adtors. When the next stage of the Ecode\u00adsign Regu\u00adla\u00adtion for fans comes into force, if not before, many fans that are powered by an AC motor will no longer meet the minimum require\u00adments for effi\u00adciency. When that happens, the right drive solu\u00adtion will be a high-perfor\u00admance EC external rotor motor that oper\u00adates at high effi\u00adciency levels. In addi\u00adtion, EC fans are infi\u00adnitely adjustable and work extremely effi\u00adciently even in partial-load oper\u00ada\u00adtion.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"with-quotes\">Thanks to the state-of-the-art EC motor, the energy consump\u00adtion and oper\u00adating costs can be signif\u00adi\u00adcantly reduced with the DV280.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>Replacing such large fans is often a problem because of the lack of space. Is it the same here?<\/h3>\n<p>We use an external rotor motor design, which allows for a much more compact unit than conven\u00adtional internal rotor motors. This means that the entire fan unit requires less space, making trans\u00adporta\u00adtion and instal\u00adla\u00adtion much easier. For example, when combined with one of our centrifugal impellers, the motor is immersed in the impeller because it is mounted directly on the external rotor. Even large RadiPac fans in size 800 there\u00adfore easily fit through normal doors. By detecting this at an early stage, we can signif\u00adi\u00adcantly improve oper\u00ada\u00adtional reli\u00ada\u00adbility. That is why we have inte\u00adgrated a vibra\u00adtion sensor. During commis\u00adsioning, our customers perform a test start-up during which the vibra\u00adtion levels over the entire speed curve are analyzed.
