Amongst other things, the Danish labo\u00adra\u00adtory equip\u00adment special\u00adists produce laminar air flow work\u00adsta\u00adtions for univer\u00adsi\u00adties, chemists\u2019 shops, and phar\u00adma\u00adceu\u00adtical compa\u00adnies.<br>\nLabo\u00adGene CEO Mikal Skat N\u00f8rrevig explains the thinking behind this claim: \u201c\u2019Scan\u00addi\u00adna\u00advian by Design\u2019 describes two aspects of our company philos\u00adophy: On the one hand, our prod\u00aducts are so attrac\u00adtively designed that they almost look like modern kitchen appli\u00adances. At the same time we place great emphasis on making our equip\u00adment user friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With this approach, the Danish company and its 45 employees have earned them\u00adselves an excel\u00adlent repu\u00adta\u00adtion throughout the world. The equip\u00adment they supply is used in labo\u00adra\u00adto\u00adries in around 60 coun\u00adtries, predom\u00adi\u00adnantly in Europe and Asia. (Photo | ebm-papst)<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>There is a quieter solu\u00adtion<\/h2>\n<p>Of partic\u00adular impor\u00adtance to LaboGene\u2019s customers are quiet-running systems. As N\u00f8rrevig explains: \u201cLabo\u00adra\u00adtory workers spend many hours a day with our laminar air flow systems. In such a situ\u00ada\u00adtion, any back\u00adground noise can be a real nuisance and wearing on the workers\u2019 nerves.\u201d For a long time, Labo\u00adGene there\u00adfore did the same as other compa\u00adnies and used forward-curved fans to keep the noise level down, even though these were not capable of opti\u00admally distrib\u00aduting the air flow through the filters fitted in the systems. When ebm-papst brought the back\u00adward-curved centrifugal fan RadiCal onto the market, he saw an oppor\u00adtu\u00adnity to help Labo\u00adGene out of their predica\u00adment with regard to the fans. The RadiCal is ideally suited to the appli\u00adca\u00adtion at Labo\u00adGene, having a better frequency distri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion and being consid\u00ader\u00adably quieter-running than its prede\u00adcessor. \u201cTo demon\u00adstrate the advan\u00adtages to the customer, we constructed a model of a laminar air flow system on our premises \u2013 with all the tech\u00adnical intri\u00adca\u00adcies.\u201d Plechinger was thus well equipped to stage his presen\u00adta\u00adtion.<\/p>\n<h2>Air flow exper\u00adtise<\/h2>\n<p>The audi\u00adence was really impressed. \u201cAlong\u00adside the prod\u00aducts, the great thing about working with ebm-papst is that the people you talk to are fully conver\u00adsant with every aspect of the air flow.
