The close collab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtion between our Mulfingen, St. Georgen and Shanghai sites resulted in the design and devel\u00adop\u00adment of a new diag\u00adonal compact fan, one that meets future require\u00adments and has the same dimen\u00adsions as a conven\u00adtional solu\u00adtion: the DiaForce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is new about the DiaForce?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of its char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adis\u00adtics, it is a hybrid between an axial and a centrifugal fan. To achieve this, we fitted the fan impeller with a conical cover plate that surrounds the ends of the blade. There is no longer a tip gap which would lead to a drop in pres\u00adsure and turbu\u00adlence at the edge. Thanks to the aero\u00addy\u00adnamic opti\u00admiza\u00adtions, the DiaForce is six dB(A) quieter than a conven\u00adtional axial compact fan\u200a\u2014\u200awith up to 50 percent higher air perfor\u00admance. The axial design, which is cheaper for instal\u00adla\u00adtion, is retained \u00adnever\u00adthe\u00adless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What role does the motor play in this increase in perfor\u00admance?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The EC motor with an output of 500 watts is very compact and oper\u00adates at a high level of effi\u00adciency. Its elec\u00adtronics make a major contri\u00adbu\u00adtion to this: a high-perfor\u00admance micro\u00adcon\u00adtroller oper\u00adates a field-oriented control system that ensures the maximum possible torque in all load ranges and also opti\u00admizes effi\u00adciency and struc\u00adture-borne noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does this much power impact the service life?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The results are very posi\u00adtive. And what is even better is that, with the optional FanCheck func\u00adtion, we can offer a smart main\u00adte\u00adnance concept. FanCheck constantly calcu\u00adlates the statis\u00adtical service life based on the actual oper\u00adating condi\u00adtions.
