A pure island for athletes

EC fans are exchanging the air in the parking level of the Oympic Village near Rio de Janeiro.

During the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, around 18,000 athletes and others involved in the Games will be living in Ilha Pura, the Olympic Village in the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood. The 31 buildings with a total of 73,359 m2 residential area are divided into seven complexes. Each of the complexes features an underground garage with between 270 and 450 parking spaces.

To keep the air in the parking levels as clean as possible, a total of 138 efficient and quiet HyBlade® EC axial fans take care of the required incoming and exhaust air. The sensors that measure the carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide levels in the air in the garages can control the amounts of air exactly as required.
