Gegen diese Umwelt\u00adbe\u00addin\u00adgungen m\u00fcssen wir tagt\u00e4g\u00adlich ank\u00e4mpfen, damit wir die Tempe\u00adratur im K\u00fchl\u00adregal konstant bei null bis vier Grad Celsius und in den Gefrier\u00adtruhen bei bis zu -18 Grad halten k\u00f6nnen\u201c, so Abel. Der Motor ist entschei\u00addend f\u00fcr den effi\u00adzi\u00adenten Betrieb. Er muss rund um die Uhr laufen und den Venti\u00adlator antreiben, der die K\u00e4lte im Ger\u00e4t gleich\u00adm\u00e4\u00dfig verteilt. Wenn er ausf\u00e4llt, droht die Ware zu verderben. Eine hohe Verl\u00e4ss\u00adlich\u00adkeit ist also gefragt. Der iQC-Motor ist dank EC-Tech\u00adno\u00adlogie deut\u00adlich effi\u00adzi\u00adenter als die \u00e4lteren Modelle der iQ-Moto\u00adren\u00adreihe, hat aber die gleiche Baugr\u00f6\u00dfe. (Foto | Keith Tsuji)<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Ein gutes Argu\u00adment f\u00fcr DFI und City Faci\u00adlity Manage\u00adment, denn in 80 Prozent der Ger\u00e4te laufen bereits Motoren von ebm-papst. Zun\u00e4chst wurden drei Super\u00adm\u00e4rkte f\u00fcr ein Pilot\u00adpro\u00adjekt ausge\u00adsucht und die alten Motoren durch das neue iQC-Modell ersetzt. Die ersten Messungen begeis\u00adterten Abel und Chow: 50 Prozent weniger Strom verbrau\u00adchen die L\u00fcfter, und das bei einer h\u00f6heren Luft\u00adleis\u00adtung. \u201eWir haben auch bei anderen Herstel\u00adlern ange\u00adfragt, aber dort lieferte keine der L\u00f6sungen auch nur ann\u00e4\u00adhernd so gute Werte wie der iQC\u201c, sagt Chow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Retrofit in Rekord\u00adzeit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wegen der guten Ergeb\u00adnisse beschlossen Abel und Chow, den Retrofit im gro\u00dfen Stil umzu\u00adsetzen: In rund 1.000 Filialen in Hong\u00adkong sollten in nur einem halben Jahr etwa 10.000 Motoren ausge\u00adtauscht werden. Nicht nur wegen der schieren Zahl und des knappen Zeit\u00adbud\u00adgets keine einfache Aufgabe: \u201eBei einem solchen Projekt gibt es viele Akteure, die wir im Vorfeld koor\u00addi\u00adnieren m\u00fcssen\u201c, so Abel. Hinzu kommt, dass der Betrieb so wenig wie m\u00f6glich beein\u00adtr\u00e4ch\u00adtigt werden sollte, damit das Gesch\u00e4ft normal weiter\u00adlaufen kann. F\u00fcr die Betei\u00adligten bedeu\u00adtete das viele Nacht\u00adschichten. Denn der Retrofit musste deshalb au\u00dfer\u00adhalb der Gesch\u00e4fts\u00adzeiten statt\u00adfinden. Das ist nicht nur gut f\u00fcrs Klima, sondern auch f\u00fcr das Gesch\u00e4ft, denn unter dem Strich sind durch diese Ma\u00dfnahme die Ener\u00adgie\u00adkosten bereits um 350.000 US-Dollar gesunken. \u201eIn zwei Jahren hat sich der Retrofit damit amor\u00adti\u00adsiert\u201c, so Abel. Hinzu kommt ein weiterer Vorteil: Die iQC-Motoren sind dank EC-Tech\u00adno\u00adlogie deut\u00adlich lang\u00adle\u00adbiger, da bei b\u00fcrs\u00adten\u00adlosen Motoren keine Abnut\u00adzung durch Reibung entsteht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seinem eigenen Klima\u00adziel ist DFI durch den Retrofit schon ein St\u00fcck\u00adchen n\u00e4her\u00adge\u00adkommen. F\u00fcr Abel und Chow gibt es dennoch noch viel zu tun.
