Partner with expe­ri­ence

ebm-papst Land­shut started the “Inter Valve Industry” joint venture with the Taiwanese company TbK. Under our partner’s roof we will produce gas valves as a major share­holder starting in 2012. “That was a funda­mental corner­stone of the entire strategy for the gas valve acqui­si­tion from Dungs,” explained Land­shut Managing Director Stefan Brandl. “Because we don’t have any expe­ri­ence with the produc­tion of these compo­nents, it was impor­tant for us to found a joint venture with a partner that contributes expe­ri­ence.”

On-site Land­shut is investing in produc­tion facil­i­ties, equip­ment and tools. “At the loca­tion in Taiwan we are also manu­fac­turing the compo­nents at the right price to keep up with world­wide compe­ti­tion,” empha­sises Brandl.

Colleagues in Land­shut have built a trusting rela­tion­ship with TbK over the last five years. The company has a lot of exper­tise in producing valves for contin­uous water heaters. “And we,” says Brandl, “bring the neces­sary expe­ri­ence in terms of devel­op­ment and marketing.”
