Partner with experience

Joint venture for gas valve production

ebm-papst Landshut started the “Inter Valve Industry” joint venture with the Taiwanese company TbK. Under our partner’s roof we will produce gas valves as a major shareholder starting in 2012. “That was a fundamental cornerstone of the entire strategy for the gas valve acquisition from Dungs,” explained Landshut Managing Director Stefan Brandl. “Because we don’t have any experience with the production of these components, it was important for us to found a joint venture with a partner that contributes experience.”

On-site Landshut is investing in production facilities, equipment and tools. “At the location in Taiwan we are also manufacturing the components at the right price to keep up with worldwide competition,” emphasises Brandl.

Colleagues in Landshut have built a trusting relationship with TbK over the last five years. The company has a lot of expertise in producing valves for continuous water heaters. “And we,” says Brandl, “bring the necessary experience in terms of development and marketing.”
